It’s always great to hear about experiences from visitors to Luang Prabang. Sophia from Australia and Syed from Malaysia came to our gallery and purchased prints. Thanks Sophia, thanks Syed! Below their feelings about Luang Prabang;
‘LAOS People Don’t Rush’
“Luang Prabang is visually beautiful, easy on the eye, sticky rice, magical waterfalls, hidden artistic talents (like Adri), peace, humility, honesty, monks, smiles, the great Mekong, trendiest tuk tuks in asia, yummy food, fried mekong fish, Lao Lao whisky, buddhas, beautiful laneways & architecture, oodles of noodles…….it’s where dreams come true!
There is definitely more to it than meets the eye. We spent 9 days in Luang Prabang which is apparently considered too long! We found it too short and could have stayed 3 weeks easily. The most magical Asian country I have visited and definitely longing to go back and spend some more quality time there. My hope is it will remain like this forever and gentrification doesn’t rip out all its unique qualities”.
“I am so pleased with my ‘Buffalo Boy” photograph which I got from the talented Adri Berger. For me, the image of a young boy riding a water buffalo with the countryside in the background captures the charm of a well preserved heritage, the enchanting spirit and grace of the Laotian people and her land. It will take pride of place in my home and will always remind me of all the wonderful memories of my first trip to Luang Prabang”.
